Richard Johnson is a Ward III City of Cheyenne Councilman. Richard was elected to serve as a Ward III Councilman in 2014 and is currently serving a four-year term from January 2015 to January 2019.
As a Councilman, Richard currently serves on the Finance Committee, has served on the Public Services Committee, and volunteers to serve on the Airport Board, Community Action of Laramie County Board of Directors, and the GIS Executive Committee.
Richard is a qualified Reservations Manager at Great Lakes Airlines. He has more than 11 years of experience which has assisted him with conflict resolution, providing leadership skills, and fostering positive reinforcement amongst employees.
Prior to becoming a Reservations Manager, Richard spent 10 years working for Pete’s Pizza, was a Wyoming Highway Patrol Dispatcher, and was an active member of the fund-raising efforts to construct the Clay Sturman Bike, Board & Blade Park.
Although Richard’s methods may appear unorthodox, he is well informed on multiple community issues.
Richard is passionate about his community and is an activist for charity fundraising and social awareness. Richard is a verbal proponent for the youth, working poor, and disenfranchised.
