CHEYENNE – On Monday, City of Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr expressed appreciation for the actions of the Wyoming Public Service Commission (PSC) which, during its meeting on January 24, opened an investigatory docket into CenturyLink’s massive service outage that began on the morning of December 27, 2018.
“I am pleased the PSC took note of the concerns I expressed in the complaint I filed on January 2,” the Mayor said, “and I am confident their investigation will not only help determine the cause of this massive outage but will also lead to processes being put in to place to ensure it does not recur.”
Mayor Orr also expressed her hope that notification to affected communities will be more timely and informative in the future.
As a result of the PSC’s action, Mayor Orr asked that her complaint be withdrawn so that the Commission may focus on gathering information through its investigatory docket.
